Charles Kornegay Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 9, 2012.
Charles Monroe Kornegay was born on November 8, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. He believed that "Jesus Christ was his higher power"; and "that death is the beginning of everlasting life with God". Now he has passed on to join his loving wife and father to spend eternity with our God. He proudly served in the United States Army. Afterwhich, he enrolled in Encarnate Word College. After many years of service, he retired from Mustang Caterpillar.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Charlene Gayle Kornegay and grandson, Elijah James Simmons; mother, Betty Lou Schroeder; stepmother, Irene "Rene" Kornegay; brother, Duane Kornegay, Jr. and sister, Carol Ann Redding.
Promises from Our Lord
So don't worry, because I am with you. Don't be afraid, because I am your God. I'll make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saved you. Isaiah 41:10
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all the old ways of gone. Revelations 21:4
