Chuck, I do not know what to say. We met 15 years ago and kept in contact throughout our careers. Rest in peace brother, and to your little one, your dad was a great man.

Chuck "D" came to 115 as one of my controllers and left as a great friend. I was fortunate enough to work along side him once again while in Eglin. I could always count on him for anything. He remains one of the top Marines I have encountered during my 25 years of service. My heart is heavy......you will be missed tremendously!

Rest in peace brother. Once a Knight is never enough. Know you are a Knight amongst angels

Semper Fi. Rest easy my brother. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of great loss. A tragic loss of a great asset to our country.

I had the pleasure to serve along side GySgt Lofties over the last year. You were an outstanding Marine but a better friend. There will remain a void here in the Green Knights that will not be filled. Rest in peace my friend and I will see you again one day!

I knew Chuck through Josh Taylor. Chuck is a good man and I'm glad I got to know him. He was quiet, thoughtful and an outstanding Marine.

I was very sorry to learn of your loss. I never got to meet your son -- just a young guy when we were in Leadership Tyler -- but he obviously grew up to be quite a man. My sincere condolences, and I hope you and I have a chance to get caught up someday soon.

Mrs. Lofties I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The pain you feel I cannot imagine. May you find comfort somehow.

Rest in Peace Charlie, you left in a flash but your love remained... Thank you for your service to our country and see you at the gates brother...

We are so sad to hear of Charlie's death. We remember with a lot of fondness, coming to your house when our kids were little and all the boys running through the house, being...boys! Our hearts hurt with yours. We know you were so proud of Charlie, and we are proud of the man he became and for his service to our country. We are praying for peace, comfort and that you will always feel Charlie close in your heart.
