Charles Lussier

LUSSIER, Charles A. 1920 - 2006 Peacefully June 30, 2006 at Montfort Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Lussier first practiced law in Montreal before becoming Director of la Maison des etudiants canadiens in Paris and later undertaking a career in the Quebec and Canadian public services, notably as Delegue general du Quebec a Paris, Public Service Commissioner, Director the Canada Council and Clerk of the Senate. Loving husband of Monique Lortie, father of Sylvain (Ilinca Ghibu), Hubert (Andrea Martinez), Caroline (Robert Thuot) and Sophie (Olivier Jacoulet). Cherished grandfather of Laurence, Arnaud, Charles-Andre, Jean-Sebastian, Christophe, Emmanuelle, Ariane, Eleonore, Mathieu and Anouk. He is also survived by brothers Louis-Philippe, Andre and Pierre. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Centre de soin de longue duree Montfort. Friends and family may visit at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, 2 - 5 and 7 - 10 p.m., Monday July 3. Service will be held at Notre-Dame-de Lourdes, 435 Montreal Road, Tuesday July 4 at 2 p.m. Donations to Baluchon Alzheimer, the Montfort Hospital Foundation or les Petits freres des pauvres would be appreciated.
