Charles Nelson Obituary
Mr. Nelson was born February 16, 1931 in Jasper, Tennessee. He is the son of the late Marshall and Sarah Dawson Nelson. He is retired from the U.S. Army after serving in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Carson and his brother, John Nelson.
He is survived in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Maryse Nelson of Phenix City, AL, daughters; Sarah Karen Urness of Columbus, GA, Sandra Katia Kowacevich of Smiths Station, AL, son; Steven Kent Nelson of Cusseta, GA, sisters; Mary Cartwright, Lillie Mae Coffelt, Martha Miller, Emma McDonald, Susie Roberts, brothers; Marshall Nelson, Jr. Harley Nelson, grandchildren; Daniel Head, Dana Beck, Angie Romero, Jack Webb, Julie Dennis, Stevie Dennis, Christopher Nelson, great grandchildren; Paige, Carly, GiGi, Justin, Cole, Cason and Aiden.
