Charles Arthur Nocho was born on August 5, 1922, in Media, PA. Charles was the youngest of four children raised by his mother, Violet Nocho and stepfather, Edward Foster, in a very loving home.
Charles graduated from Media High School and the University of Pennsylvania Evening School of Accounting and Finance.
Charles enlisted in the US Navy Seabees, serving in Hawaii, Iwo Jima and Okinawa during World War II.
He was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 30 years both the Philadelphia and Washington, DC offices before retiring.
In addition to his wife of over 70 years, Sadie S. Nocho, he is survived by one daughter, Carlotta Mayo of CT, grandchildren, Christopher Mayo and Erik Mayo, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Richard; two sisters, Thelma Allen and Marjorie Harris; a niece Eloise (Sallie) Brooks.
