Charles Ray Passmore
Brevard-Charles Ray Passmore, 64, of Brevard, NC died Friday, August 27, 2010 at his residence.
He was a son of the late James Anderson and Eltis Osteen Passmore. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Passmore and Louise Crow and a brother, Donald Lee Passmore. He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Orania Passmore.
He served in the US Navy for 18 years. He retired in 2008 to complete his honey do list.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons; Frank Passmore and wife Vicki of Fuquay Varina, NC, and James Passmore and wife Jaime of Pocono, three step-daughters; Alicia Baker and family of Charleston, SC, Annette Prince and family of Dyersburg, Tenn, and Melissa Chapman and family of Rosman, NC, a stepson; Brian Justice of Dyersburg, Tenn., three sisters; Margaret Owen of Brevard, Ruth Brown and husband Frank of Brevard, Wanda Baumgarner and husband Roy of Cashiers, a brother Tommy Passmore and wife Rosalee of Hendersonville, a brother-in-law; Jim Crowe, seven grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren several close and much loved nieces and nephews. Extended family Pastor Tommy Owen and wife Phyllis and friends of the In The Bible Mission. Also, special friend, Rick Chapman.
A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM, September 5, 2010, at In The Bible Mission at Cathey's Creek Community Center with Rev. Tommy Owen officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Steve Metcalf and staff at Metcalf Pharmacy for all their special support. Also, special thanks to David and Patty Jarrett's Store in Rosman, NC.
