I haven't see Dr Ross since the mid 1980s. He was one of my instructors in medical school, one who I so admired for his compassion and willingness to care for the most sick among us.

He was also an Uber Geek! We talked medicine and computing, and he convinced me that there was room in a career for both. His medicine grand rounds on Clinical Decision Analysis changed how I thought about delivering care.

Thank you Dr Ross for your teaching and mentorship.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Ross. Throughout my 30 years at Summa as a student, resident and attending physician colleague,Chuck will always stand out as one of the kindest, most knowledgeable, most dedicated physicians and teachers that I had the honor of working with. For those of us who were his students and for the patients we touch, his legacy will endure for decades to come. RIP,

My deepest condolences to his family. Dr. Ross was my doctor when I was going through chemotherapy. I don't think I would've gotten through it without him. He was A true professional and a wonderful human being. The world, and the medical community is definitely at a loss.

When I first met Dr. Ross I was a young and impressionable nurse.Thru compassion, humor and patience, Dr. Ross fostered my desire to be an oncology nurse. He was a wonderful teacher and physician. He embraced and respected his nurses and he could make us laugh. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories, funny stories and man.

Thank you to Dr. Ross for the medical help we needed for our 20 year old son David in 1984. His kind loving care helped us through this difficult time and his expertise in oncology gave our son a life that is filled with family etc. today.

His cute nurses used to greet David when he opened the door for his appointments with big smiles. He loved that and the cute red headed nurse at City Hospital who prepared him for his first, of many, chemo treatments. I guess it was because he was so young and they usually had older patients. The bottom line is that Dr. Ross and his expertise along with God healed David. For that I am blessed.
My father was a general practitioner for forty year in Akron and when people would say "oh you made my father well" my dad would reply "I just assisted the Great Healer".

Dr. Ross, you will be forever missed by those lives you touched. I was always pleased when I saw your name on the ER rotation so many years ago. You were always willing to share your knowledge with nurses, even as an intern! Our patients were blessed when you were there!
