He was born on August 10, 1935, the son of the late Eugene and Betty (Walters) Shadle.
He was a self employed contractor, enjoyed reading, billiards, playing guitar and working with his hands. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Surviving are sons, Dale E. Shadle of Austin, TX, Jacob L. Graham of Stuttguard, Germany, Dean M. Hoffman of Indiana; daughters, Chanel K. Johns of Herndon, PA, Linda L. Ludlow of Edwardsville, IL, Dorreen Graham Lesher of Berrysburg, PA, Susan B. Kowal of Grantham, PA; sisters, Betty J. Washell of State College, PA, Delores Shadle of State College, PA; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Topper" Shadle, Jr., a brother, Lester Shadle, sisters, Nancy Ward, Judy McCabe and Shirley McCabe.
Services and interment are atthe convenience of the family.
Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, was in charge of the arrangements.

Was saddened to hear of Charlie's passing.I thought of him from time to time and wondered what he was in to next.I met charlie when his family located to Hbg from Renova, I believe in the late 50's.We were very close and was with him when he met Georgia and I worked for Gene,played guitar,fished and spent a lot of time together,he was well received in my family and was a gentleman.Maybe some of his sisters remember me?? May God give him peace.He was a fine man. Fred
