Charles L. Shewmake was born on March 5, 1932 in Brownfield TX to Charlie and Zettie (Savage) Shewmake. He passed away on December 23, 2015 at his home in Fresno, CA. Charles served four years in the U.S. Air Force then entered the Air National Guard. He retired from the National Guard as a Master Sergeant after serving around the world for 28 years. Charles was married to Donna Graham until her passing in 2005. Charles loved to tinker around the house, fixing anything that was broken.
Charles is survived by his daughter Delaina Young and her husband Dan of Fresno and his nephew and family, Kenneth and Linda Reed of Napa, CA. He is also survived by his National Guard Guys and Friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:30 at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel in Exeter followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM at the Exeter District Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.evansmillerguinnchapel.com. Services entrusted to Evans Miller Guinn Chapel.
