Auntie Alice, Charlie, Mark, Mary and Ian, I am so sorry for your loss. Lifting you all and your families in prayer as you face this difficult time. Uncle Charlie, was a wonderful man and I will cherish every special moment we shared. I am so sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service. Although not related by blood, you'll always be family to me. Gods speed Uncle Charlie, until we meet again I love you

I have found memories of Uncle Charlie, particularly when my brother and I stayed with the Snellgroves during his tour of duty with the US Air Force in The Netherlands in the early 1970s. I recall watching a softball game in which Uncle Charlie hit a home run; thereafter his team-mates dubbed him Speedy. I still have the Boy Scouts of America compass he gave me during that holiday; I like to think it helps keep me on the right course through life. RIP Uncle Charlie, a kind, decent gentleman.

Dear Mrs Alice and all the Snellgrove family: We have such fond memories of "Mr Charlie" and all the years you both cared so faithfully for Matthew and Mary and many other children who were blessed to be under your care. You both were so good to all children with a firm but loving way that helped them build a strong lifelong foundation as children. We have witnessed your love for your children and grandchildren in the same way. You both are very special people and he will truly be missed. He was such a kind and gentle man who always displayed love for his family. We will continue to keep all of you in our prayers and know you are truly suffering a great loss. May peace and love be with all of you and the memories you share of your time together. Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Mark,
Sorry for your loss. The thing about memories is that they only get better with age. Treasure your memories, relive them, and keep the faith. Sending you prayers and hugs. Johnny

I have never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Snellgrove. But one picture told me that his kind eyes belonged to a kind and loving man. To the Snellgrove Family, I offer my most heartfelt condolences and prayers for strength. You are a beautiful extension of him. To my friend, Alicea, I send you big hugs to comfort you while you grieve. I love you all.

So many memories with Uncle Charlie and Auntie Alice are flooding my mind. Uncle Charlie was the most patient, caring man I ever knew. My hope is that Uncle Charlie is sharing stories with my Mom and Dad as they continue to watch over all of us from Heaven.

Aunt Alice and all the LA Snellgrove gang:
So sorry Uncle Charlie had to go but happy he is with so many of his siblings and friends who went before. Uncle Charlie was always a kind and generous gentleman. Although distance prohibited frequent visits I always enjoyed his company when he visited Valdosta. Our prayers are with you all as you adjust to his passing.
Love you all.

Ian and family, I am so very sorry to read that you lost your sweet dad! He was an Icon on Conrad St, always speaking, waving, talking to the kids and willing to help his neighbors! It was a great street to live on and I will always remember with much fondness, your precious parents! You all are in my prayers!

Remembering my dear Uncle Charlie ... such a kind and loving gentleman who always showed how much he cared and loved his extended family. I loved yours and Aunty Alice's visits and our outings. One that sticks in my mind is when I was a little girl and you and Aunty Alice took me to Windsor in your big flash Yankee car. I remember holding the bridges up with my little finger and the telegraph wires with the bicycle pedals on them. I still have the Panda ornament you bought me to remember the visit by. I also keep the dollar note you/Aunty Alice gave me many years ago in my desk drawer. Thank you for all the memories Uncle Charlie. Love you loads. Jan Jan and family xxx

Every memory I have of Charlie has one commonality...Charlie always made you feel loved! From the moment he would see me and call out "Well hi Kyle," there isn't another way I can explain it, you felt it immediately! There was just something about the sincerity in his voice and the genuine care he had for you. I will miss those greetings most of all, and will look forward to our next reunion. Love you Charlie, and don't forget to wash your hands.
