Robert Clark "Rodney" Bolen

Oct. 25, 1965 - Sept. 22, 2014 Robert Clark "Rodney" Bolen, age 48, went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of September 22, 2014. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. Robert was born October 25, 1965 to Robert Clayton Bolen and Doris Jeanette Bolen. He married his devoted wife Theresa Parsons Bolen November 23, 1984. Robert joined the army in 1986 and the Air Force in 1990. He retired in 2007 from the Air Force, as a TSgt in the Refueling Wing, due to his ongoing battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Parsons Bolen; two children, daughter, Brittney Nicole Bolen and son, Justin Rodney Bolen; parents, Robert and Doris Bolen; sisters, Doris (Rusty) Underwood, Diane (Tim) Arnold; brother-in-law, Danny Reno; sister–in-law, Rhonda Pate; grandmother-in-law, Racheal Ledbetter; in-laws, Fay (Roy) McGowan and Ronald (Carol) Parsons and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lawrence and Inez Slatton; Dan and Lena Bolen; sister, Regina Reno. Robert will forever be in our hearts and remembered for his brilliant smile, sweet spirit, and kind heart. He was a loving husband, cherished father, and treasured brother. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Graveside service to be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 27, at Elvester Baptist Church Cemetery, Nyota Rd., Warrior, Alabama 35180 In memory of Robert, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
