Charles "Chucky" Thurman Jr.

Charles “Chucky� Edward Thurman Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the age of 17. He was the beloved son of Sandy M. Thurman and Charles E. Thurman. Loving brother of Destiny Marie Thurman. Grandson of Janice Alexander, Linda Thonn and the late William “Bill� & Ruth Thurman, Irene & Gene Mitchell. Nephew of Boy, Melody (Joey), Judy (Greg), Billy (Crystal), Charlette (Chris), Cindy (Paul), Mallerie (Mike) and the late Melvin. Godson of Cindy Mayronne and Joey Latapie. He is also survived and fondly remembered by numerous relatives, cousins, great-cousins and many, many dear friends. Chucky was well loved and will forever be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched. Relatives, friends, employees of Folger Coffee, Domino’s Sugar Refinery and students & staff of Chalmette High School are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, June 9th from 6:00PM – 10:00PM and again on Friday, June 10th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. A funeral service will be celebrated in Chucky’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
