p>Charles C. Timberman, 83, of Elmer, passed away on June 15, 2008, at the South Jersey Healthcare-Elmer Hospital. Born in the home that he currently lives in, he was the son of Benjamin and Jeanette Conover Timberman.

He retired from the Elmer Post Office, after 38 years of service as a rural letter carrier. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the VFW Post No. 1259, in Elmer, the gun club USANA, and was a member of the Elmer Zoning Board at one time.

He is survived by his wife, Edna (nee Wible); his daughter, Cheryl Healy and her husband, John, of Greenwich; his son, Chuck and his wife, Lynn, of Hopewell Township; brothers, Benjamin Timberman, and David Timberman; and a sister, Dorothy Somers; grandchildren, Tracy Fardone and her husband, Michael, Lindsey, and Katie Timberman; and great-grandchildren, Isabella Fardone, Ethan Timberman, and Daryl Gould. He was predeceased by his brother, Burroughs; and three sisters, Margaret Ward, Meryl Hendrickson and Jeanette Timberman.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30, at 11 a.m., at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, in Elmer, N.J. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to either the Elmer Ambulance Corp., P.O. Box 812, Elmer, NJ 08318, or to the Elmer Fire Department, P.O.
