Charles was born on April 1, 1932 and passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Charles was a resident of Illinois at the time of passing. After graduating from Evanston Township High School, he attended Lake Forest College, played football for 4 years and was inducted into the Lake Forest football hall of fame. Also survived by 19 grandchildren: Brian, Erin (Christian), Lauren, Charles Melville, Derek, Kameron, Kait (Kevin), Kelsey (Preston), Joseph, Megan, Patrick, Hannah, Michael, Laura, Connor, Jack, Taylor, John, Charles and 4 great grandchildren: Bella, Matilda, William and Jude Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, February 7, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Thursday, February 8 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington. There will be visitation at the church from 10am until the service.. Burial at White Cemetery will be private. Visitation at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on February 7, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wilson's Disease Association (1732 First Avenue, #20043, NY, NY, 10128- or wilsonsdisease.org) in honor of Charles M. Walsh.

Charlie and I shared the same birth day, April Fools Day, I was a year older.
We played football at LFC together for three years.
Drank a few beers together at Skips.
I loved both Charlie and his wife,
I'll meet you again, Charlie, on the gridiron in the sky.
