Charles Weaver Obituary
Age 81, of Horseheads, NY, formerly of Lansing, died Sunday, January 22, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Barron Weaver; step-daughter; Kimberly (Thomas) Fuller, Medina, NY; children, John (Karen) Weaver, San Diego, CA, Theresa (Gary) Kieffer, Moravia, NY, Eric (Sandra) Weaver, Youngsville, NC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Catherine (Forrest) Collier; brothers, James (Sylvia) Weaver, Joseph (Carol) Weaver; pre-deceased by step-son, Bryan S. Wood. At his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lansing, NY. Those wishing may make a donation in his name to the Horseheads, NY animal shelter. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kalec Funeral Home, Elmira, NY.

I have fond memories of Mr. Weaver as a teacher at Lansing Middle School. He taught us respect, but was very humorous and down to earth. Nothing but good memories of being in his class. Thank you! May you Rest in Peace!

My sincere condolences to the Weaver family. Mr Weaver was a favorite teacher and coach of mine. He always had a smile on his face and enriched the lives of so many Lansing students. He will be missed and remember.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember helping Mr. Weaver with the Wrestling matches and tournaments he ran at Lansing High School. I had a lot of fun in his class as well. My condolences and prayers.

Sorry that Coach Weaver is no longer with us, I feel he was the finest Wrestling; football coach and Teacher Lansing school has ever had; He was someone that his students and players could look up to, not only for a home work assignments, or a game plan, but for leadership support and direction where he emphesized to his students at Lansing School that they were "important" like a Father figure encouraging his children , but this was School, how exceptional is that; in other words Charles Weaver was loved; he will go down in history as "The Father of Lansing School" !
