WRIGHT Dr. Charles Edward Wright, age 84, of Max Meadows, Va., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. He was born on Feb. 10, 1928, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., the son of the late Edward Mason and Bernice Taylor Wright. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Collins Wright; a grandson, Charles E. Wright III; sisters, Jeanette Edwards and Edith Harrison; and brother, Claude Wright. Dr. Wright served as pastor of Peoples Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga., for 20 years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Wytheville, Va. He is survived by his wife, Linda Wright; son, Charles Edward "Eddie" Wright Jr. and wife Margaret of Charlottesville, Va.; granddaughter, Farrah Wright; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Wright, Mason Wright and Tyler Holmes; five nieces, Peggy Edwards, Linda Edwards, Gail Wallace, Mira Wright and Kathy Harrison; and nephew, Bill Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 3 p.m. until service time at the church. Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Wood Cemetery, 225 Kemp Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC. I was having a difficult time when
Up came a notice for Dr. Char l especially
Wright, I was immediately uplifted, I spoke aloud giving thanks and blessings to me.

He was a kind and
considerate mam who truly cared about people. He
understood the heart of folks.

He is a memory that I will not forget.

As a younger preacher in Stockbridge, Ga Bro. Wright was a great help to me when I started Liberty Baptist. He was a great preacher, great anbassador for Christ and a great friend. Heaven and hundreds of souls are his reward.
