I will miss your stories, your smile, your love of family and friends!! You shared a lot with me and I will always remember when I approached you and said to you "Thank you for your service" you got a little teary and said "no one has ever said that to me" and we hugged. I reminded you that you did what you needed to do to survive the Vietnam war and you did nothing wrong. You are a hero in so many ways!! But most of all I will always remember how you loved being told you were "Ridiculous" and how you would hide the cookies I made for you all !!! Love you always Chuck!!!

My uncle Chuck was the best uncle ever! I was lucky enough to have called him my uncle for 50-years. This world needs more uncle Chucks. You'll be missed and you will always be a one of a kind.

Rest easy now Chuck. Thanks for helping me in the Chuck York way when I needed it most. I´ll never forget you and the memories I made with you. I´ve faced things these last 18yrs without reverting to old behaviors from the wisdom you so freely shared with me. I love you my friend. I´ll see you again when the time is right.
