Charlie Keen Obituary
Gretna……….Charlie Thomas Keen, age 43 of Gretna, died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at his residence.
Born September 14, 1978 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Harold “Eldridge” Keen and Glenda Atkins Keen of Gretna. He was predeceased by one brother, Lee Eldridge Keen; his paternal grandmother, Udora “Dora” Keen; and maternal grandparents, Gladys Rowles, and Wilbur and Bennie Mae Atkins. Charlie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gretna Branch. He loved watching Westerns, riding four wheelers on the farm, going to the beach, country and bluegrass music, cars, ropes; and his family, especially his nephew, Adam and his niece, Holly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, Harold Bolden Keen; one sister, Jennifer Moore (Jeff); nephew, Adam Moore (Jordan), niece, Holly Moore (Casey), great-nephews, Grant Turner and Ryder Turner; special caregiver, Elaine Gowen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving family members; and his dogs, Chico and Rocky.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Steve Barker. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. A time of prayer with family and friends will conclude the visitation at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
