Charlie RABIE Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie Rabie z'l on Friday, May 15, 2015, in Brookline, Massachusetts. Peacefully, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, with his loving family by his side. Special and devoted husband of Ruty. Son of the late Noor and the late Rouben Rabie. Loving and adored father of Robbie and Michael. Brother and brother-in- law of Victor and the late Yvonne Ades, Adele and Albert Nessim, and Gloria Rabie. Charlie will be sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at the Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue at 7:00 p.m. daily. Due to the advent of Shavuot, shiva ends Friday morning. Donations in his memory may be made to Segal Cancer Centre c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of my elementary school (Van Horne) and high school (Northmount High) friend Ezra (Charlie). Many hours of playing street hockey in the Van Horne theatre parking lot and football at Kent park provide a good many wonderful memories of Ezra, friends and our youth....and Ezra inviting us all into his basement to watch t.v. together. To all of Ezra's family I offer my deepest sympathies.
