Charlie Reznicek Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 3, 2013.
Charlie Joe Reznicek, 72 was born on May 9, 1940 and passed away in Kaufman, Texas on February 3, 2013. Charlie was born to the late Charlie and Carrie (Kvapil) Reznicek in Kaufman and attended Seagoville schools growing up. Charlie was always considered shy by his peers and teachers but very few knew that that the young boy was from immigrant parents and spoke Czech in his family's home. Charlie was drafted during the Vietnam Era to Germany in the U.S. Army where he worked in communications and correspondents. Charlie worked at Trinity Floors in Dallas for over 30 years and was known for his meticulous work. Charlie was married to the love of his life, Janice for over 30 years and they could be inseparable at times. Wherever and whatever Charlie admired and adored so did his wife. The couple especially enjoyed watching countless re-run episodes of their favorite TV. shows; Friend's and That 70's Show. Charlie not only adopted Janice's children at a very young age he also treated them in every aspect of life like his own. The family enjoyed cross country vacations, hunting and fishing expeditions as well. Charlie attended ST. Ann's Catholic Church with Janice and was also an usher. Charlie was voted consecutively three years as the best Kaufman Senior Citizen where he held his title proudly and always volunteered. Charlie always put Janice above himself and would often sing her a love song or cuddle her closely on the couch. Charlie's greatest love was his family and now his son's will proudly live on the legacy that their father instilled in them. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Carrie, brother, Frank Reznicek and baby sister, Betty Ann Reznicek. Charlie leaves to cherish his wife Janice of Kaufman, 4 sons; Troy Reznicek and fiancé, Amy of Maypearl, Jeremy Reznicek of Mesquite, Dustin Reznicek of Terrell and Daniel Reznicek and wife, Ashli of Rockwall, grandchildren; J.T., Jolee, Jeremy, Riley and Jaycee as well as two brothers; Louis Reznicek and wife, Diantha of Chatfield, Mike Reznicek and wife, Jane of Florida, sisters; Jenny Matous and husband, John of Rice and Nancy Parker and husband, Bob of Ennis and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service for Charlie will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kaufman with Father Duffy of St. Martin's Catholic Church Officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Kaufman Senior Citizen's Center.
