She loved entertaining and cooking for family and friends during special occasions like birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Known for her homemade pies and festive holiday decorations, Charlotte made every celebration memorable. She also delighted in playing games like Phase 10 and Yahtzee-often winning-and cherished watching her favorite shows such as *Wheel of Fortune*, *Murder She Wrote*, *Gold Rush*, and Hallmark movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Clark; sons Edward Hayes and Jerry Clark; sister Norma Jean Ferguson; and brother Sam Stephens.

Charlotte is survived by her children Ron Hayes; Janet Gibson (Rich); Jeff Clark (Sandy); and Diane Smith; her grandchildren Justin Steimer (Jill), Samantha Forte (Roger), Garrison Bohn, Kyle Clark (Jill), Tyler Clark, Tristan Clark, Ryan Hayes; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings Lucille Scott (Warren), Johnny Stephens (Jeanette), Billy Stephens (Anna), Donna Baxter (Randy), Randy Stephens (Resi), and Mary Stephens. Charlotte was my mother-in-law for over 35 years, but she was so much more. She welcomed me from day one and always made me feel special.
Never hesitated to prepare an additional item without onions, special just for me.
She always went the extra mile to make every event at her house special, from the decorations to the food she held nothing back.
If you left her house hungry it was your own fault.
She will be forever missed.

Charlotte always made me feel welcome and greeted me with a big hug! We loved to chat and watch Hallmark movies together. She was always such an inspiration to us to be classy and always admonished us to never leave the house without our hair done and at least put on some lipstick. She is the one who taught me how to clean properly, as well! When we were growing up I was always impressed with her fabulous parties and care that she put in to Easter baskets and Christmas stockings and celebrating and decorating the house for every single holiday! I know my kids have benefited from these traditions. She was a lot of fun to be around and had such a presence. I loved her very much and will truly miss her.
