Charlotte Cleary

Charlotte's quick wit, engaging smile, charismatic personality, dedication to democracy, and commitment to ensuring the integrity of voter records and the election process were awe-inspiring. She served as a role model for many of us in the election community. Our communications were mainly by phone as I was at the State Board and she was in Arlington. We always made it a point to connect whenever she attended a meeting or training in Richmond. Charlotte enriched the lives of many in her lifetime - I was blessed to have been one such individual. Charlotte was always peppy -- and we followed suit. She was always looking out for all of us, no matter what. And that was the truth! I loved her humor, and we all laughed when we could. She loved us! And we loved her - in fact, we still do.
