Charlotte Marie Connors

CHARLOTTE "CHAR" MARIE CONNORS, age 74 of Waseca, died at her home on the afternoon of Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Char was born in Albert Lea on March 24, 1951 to parents Maurice Leroy and Marion Dorothy (Gardner) Springer. She went to school in Freeborn and graduated from Freeborn High School. On May 27, 1972 Char married Daniel Connors at the West Freeborn Lutheran Church. Following their wedding she and Dan enjoyed their involvement with a couples' bowling league in Waseca that allowed them to get to know others in their community. Her knowledge Waseca's residents served her well during her career at Walmart that spanned over thirty years. She began working at Walmart in Owatonna but transferred to Waseca when they opened a new location and she quickly specialized in her role in the liquor department where she made many lasting friendships. Char enjoyed camping, quilting, gardening, and following her grandchildren's sporting and school events. She was a long-time member of West Freeborn Lutheran Church.

Char is survived by her husband of fifty three years, Dan Connors of Waseca; four children, Faith (Jeff) McDonald of Park Rapids, Tracy (Dwight) Langford of Janesville, Samantha (James) Scott of Colorado Springs, CO, and Uriah (Lareasha) Connors of Maple, WI; ten grandchildren, Dana, Olivia, and Aaron McDonald, Sydney, Tristen (Brooke), and Kayle Langford, Andrew (A.J.), and Liam Scott, and Landen and Indiera Connors; and two siblings, Robert Springer of Hinkley, and Sharol Casebier of Skiatook, OK. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; a sister, Deloris Sindt, a brother-in-law, Ron Casebier; her parents-in-law, Joseph and Lucille Connors; and a sister-in-law, Susan Connors.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the State Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca, with Rev. Marcia Pederson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. dsofuneral.com
