CORSETTE, TED L., Born November 24, 1918, Battle Creek, Michigan. Passed away September 29, 2005. His beloved wife of 53 years, Ruth Riley CorSette, preceded him in death in 1997. Raised in Kalamazoo, MI, Ted attended college until joining the U.S. Navy in 1939, served in both the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II, and completed his service as Lt. Commander in 1949. During this time he met and married Ruth, a Navy nurse stationed in Oakland, California. He again served his country as an employee of the U.S. Army until his retirement in 1973. He moved to Dallas in 1974. Throughout his life, Ted took joy in his family, travel, history, and almost any do-it yourself project. Member of The Hella Shrine, Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree York Rite, Springfield Lodge 217, VA, and Vickery Lodge 1361, Dallas. Ted was also preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Margaret CorSette; brothers and sisters, Charles H. CorSette, Jack V. CorSette Jr., Betty J. Flagg and Ruth Bird. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra C. Tinkham and her husband Peter; daughter Sharon Ann CorSette; grandson, Andrew Scott Tinkham; and granddaughter, Lindsay Webb and her husband Nathan. Services will be held at 3:30 PM, Monday, October 3, 2005 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Employee Christmas Fund, Presbyterian Village North, 8600 Skyline Drive, Dallas, TX 75243 to honor the staff who lovingly cared for him.
