I am Susan Firmage. Chase was in my 1st grade class at East Layton. What a nice boy! What a great student! Chase is on the second from the top row, two away from me in the denim shirt. This was an exceptional class that year. We did a "Family Program" with songs, poems, and slide show. We ended with a song called: Spend Some Time with Your Child Everyday.
The lyrics continue:
Hold on to each moment while you may
Childhood won´t last
`Cause they grow up so fast
Spend some time with your child everyday.
My love and sympathy to Chase´s parents and all of his family. You did great in spending time with him! He was such a joy to teach and love.

Chase and I shared countless cups of coffee nerding out over Bitcoin and crypto. Although I´ve lost touch over the last few years, I´ll always cherish those long mornings. Say hi to Mak on the other side for us, buddy.
Sending strength to the whole Kirkham family. You all are in my thoughts.

I met Chase at Weber High. We reconnected after high school when I moved in with Robbie Hogge and the Boyingtons. Chase would often hang out at the house, go snowboarding, camping and go up to the cabin with us. We had many adventures together. I admired him for his humor and enjoyed our conversations. He was very intelligent which made conversations more interesting. His laugh was unforgettable. I was a CNA for 12 years and made some deep connections with patients. I cared for one patient with ALS. I watched her body decline rapidly, her voice soon followed. It truly is a devastating disease. Sending love to all of the family. Grief is a forever companion to those who have had such a profound loss. I´ll be thinking of you all on Memorial Day.

Chase was one of my most cherished cousins growing up. We had some crazzzzy good memories together caring all sorts of chaos and having a good time. I certainly miss his presence and the life he helped me live.
