Chavonia J. Thompson

Chavonia Jenene' Thompson 54yrs old of Gary, Indiana gained her wings Tuesday June 3, 2025, with her loving family at her bedside. Chavonia was born September 5th, 1970, in Gary, Indiana to the late Sharon Rowan-Sinclair and Walter Thompson. She attended Westside/Lew Wallace high then Martin Luther King Academy where she graduated. She was a longtime employee at Flying J's truck stop as a waitress and later started her career as a manager. She transitioned to Church's Chicken where she continued her career as manager for many years. Chavonia gave her life to the lord at an early age. She's preceded in death by her grandchildren Ziala Imara Eggleston and Vincent Edward-Earl Guyden, mother Sharon Rowan-Sinclair and father Walter Thompson. She leaves behind her loving children JaJuan Hubbard of NC., AnToya Campbell and Keshon Lewis both of Indianapolis, IN., and Raven Thompson of Gary, IN. Her loving 18 grandchildren. Uncle Jerome Harris of Ohio, her loving sisters Kiwana Ivy of Lilburn, GA., Shaquan Rowan of Pheonix, AZ., and Quanique Rowan and brother Quinton McDowell of Cedar Rapids, IA., Myrtle and Walter Thompson of Michigan City, IN., Lisa Melvin and Angela Thompson of NC, Belinda Gibson of Indianapolis, IN., and Tiffany Lewis of Illinois. Sisters for life Catriece ,Jennifer, Sherice , Alicia, Y'shikka, Tassie, Tanya, Bernice, Casandra, Malika and Nitra. Special friend Corey Hopkins of Gary, IN, and host of other relatives and friends.
