Dear Uncle S.K. and Cousins,

In my books, my Tua Ko Neo is very special. She always had a twinkle in her eyes and kind words. She was gracious, she was selfless, she had class, wit and great sensitivity. She cared about her siblings and their families. Her love had no boundaries. I enjoyed every visit with her. I will miss her but her work is done and she had to go.

Dear Uncle SK & family

Though we haven't seen each other that many times since "Tua Ee" and you left Singapore, the image of "Tua Ee" is always clearly in my mind; in part because of her uncanny resemblance to my mum, and also because there is a picture of the two sisters taken side-by-side in Vancouver prominently displayed in my mum's house in Singapore. My mum's putting up a brave face, but I know she is deeply saddened by the departure of her beloved sister.

Dear Tua Kuo and family,

I have not the words with which to express my regret. Tua Kheem, the late Cheng Koon Lee, was a true lady.I will remember her always for her kindness, generosity, and patience. Perhaps what will stay with me most is the way she took such care and such delight in pleasing others. Such selflessness is unheard of these days; I only hope that I have learned something from her example. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her- and no one who knew her could but love her. I certainly did. So sorry.

Dear Tua Teoh, Chin Yen, Tony, Chin Su and Kenny,

My mum, Kevin, Poh and the boys join me in remembering your beloved wife/mother today. We thank God for giving us Tua Koh Neo who was such a great role model. She was always gracious, kind, gentle and caring. My sister (Emma) and I will miss her cheerful company, her wit and her sense of humour.

May she rest in peace and may God be the family's great comfort in the days to come.

Dear Big Brother and all,

I am so glad my family and I had the opportunity to see Tua-Saw this summer. She was in good spirits and eating cherries.Although she is no longer with us now,I will always remember her well. The tidings and gifts she would bring every Chinese New Year many years ago, her trait mark "black meat" dish for children, her distinct "children" call when dinner was ready. These are a few of the many fond memories that will be treasured. Please take care of yourself and we love you all!
