Cheryl Ann Anderson (Britto), age 69, of East Wakefield, NH, passed away peacefully at home on July 12th, 2024, after a brief and sudden illness. Her devoted husband and daughters were by her side.

Cheryl was born on April 23rd, 1955, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She was the second child of loving parents Aneta and John Britto. She spent her early years in Plymouth with her brothers and many cousins, enjoying the beach and embracing her Portuguese heritage.

Cheryl met the love of her life, Michael, in 1978 in Ocean Beach California. Excited to start their new lives together, the two married on September 20th, 1981. The two raised their children, Derek, Jenifer and Malori in Plymouth before relocating to Wakefield, NH.

Cheryl will always be remembered for her great love of the arts, especially music. Her and Mike attended countless concerts together througout the years. There wasn't a Boston sports team that she didn't love, especially the Bruins. Her love language was undoubtedly cooking, and she enjoyed making all kinds of different foods for her family and friends. She touched many lives during her long time in child care, and felt very fulfilled in that role. She took great pride in her family, and was a dedicated wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. All of her grandchildren and every young person in her life affectionately called her Vovo.

She was survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, Mike, and her children Derek, Jenifer, Malori and her husband Geoff. Grandmother of Sebastian, Ciara, Shiloh, Jake and Cora. Sister of Stephen Britto and his wife Ailene, Randy Britto and his wife Laurie. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Cheryl on Sunday, August 4th at 1pm. The event will be hosted by her family, at The Inn on Main located at 200 N. Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.

I used to spend the night quite frequently at her house when we were in high school during the time she lived in the project. She loved cats and at the time and I didn´t. She always let them sleep on her bed and I eventually came to love them after hanging out with her so much. She also loved to draw and was really good at it! We would sneak cigs from her mom and go down cellar and hope we didn´t get caught smoking them. I have so many fun times and memories of our friendship. I ended up getting married and moved but our bond was never broken. RIP my sweet friend and sister.

I have great memories of Cheryl from when I was growing up with Mal. I always thought she looked so much like Cher, with her long beautiful black hair at that time. I remember her love of music! My condolences to you and your entire family.

Cheryl and I were neighbors for a few years in Plymouth. Our daughters would play together, Cheryl and I would take them to the beach with us. Cheryl went to the hospital with me when I was in labor with my youngest daughter, and coached me through her birth. I will always keep that memory, along with others of Cheryl (especially her love of The Rolling Stones) in my heart. Thinking of you Mike, Malori, Jen, Derek, Randy, and the rest of the family.
