CHERYL BARRY Cheryl won the battle with her cancer by rising above her illness, by inspiring everyone who knew and loved her by living her life to the fullest each and everyday. At L.H.S.C. University Campus on Sunday, December 19, 2004, Cheryl passed away in the loving arms of her husband John and her 2 sons Mac Intyre and Patrick, her brothers, sisters and parents. She is survived by the love of her parents Reg and Doris Libby, her sisters Donna Kukk, Joanne Spero, Wendy Bonenfant and her husband Steve and brothers Terry Libby and his wife Mary Anne, Glenn Libby and his wife Cindy and Gary Libby and his wife Martina. Dear sister-in-law of Dan Barry and his wife Joanne, Pat Kelly and her husband Bob and Kathy Bedard and her husband Brad. Dear aunt to Corie, Kevin, Philip, Jennifer, Eric, Justine, Tyler, Melissa, Brittany, Nick Terri-Anna and Stephanie, Christopher, Nicole, Scott, Sean, Tyler, Tara, Curtis, Ashley, Nicholas, Grant and Chloe. A special cousin to Bruce Libby and his wife Nancy. Cheryl was a exemplary Teacher, Principal of the Robarts School for the Deaf in London and her last role was as Provincial Co-ordinator for all of the Ontario Provincial Schools for the deaf, blind, deaf blind and learning disabled. At Cheryl's recent retirement from her 35 year career in education, Premier Dalton McGinty honored Cheryl with a statement of recognition which included the words 'Cheryl's trademark warmth, caring and compassion along with her professional skills and expertise, exemplified her as a leader in education in Ontario and throughout the world. Cheryl most recently taught deaf education at the University of Western Ontario and served on numerous committees and task forces for the Ministry of Education. Cheryl's real life's work was her two children Mac Intyre and Patrick. Waiting years and enduring many procedures to give them life, Cheryl's joy and love for her boys was an inspiration to watch and it was an everyday event. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street, London on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lucan on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Robarts School Welfare Fund would be appreciated.
