CHESTER FRAGASSI Obituary
Age 79, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at his home in Jefferson Hills surrounded by his family. He was born June 1, 1930 in Large, a son of the late James and Ellen (Plaster) Fragassi. He retired as a Pipe Fitter for US Steel's Clairton Works and later retired again as a Security Guard for Montefiore Hospital. He was a member of the ISDA, Bella Vista Lodge and the American Legion in Pleasant Hills. Husband of Mary Catherine (Przywarty) Fragassi; father of Chet L. Fragassi of Jefferson Hills and Jodi (Richard) Shoemaker of Elizabeth; grandfather of Joshua and Jared Shoemaker; brother of Conrad (Lorraine) Fragassi of Levittown, PA and the late Samuel, Raymond, John, Charles, Lawrence and Gilda Fragassi and Amelia Fazio; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends received 6 - 8 PM Monday and 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM Tuesday in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 State Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills. A prayer will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM in St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church.
