Chloe Smith Obituary
She was a former employee of Sam Moore Chair Company.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Union Temple United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Glen and Bernice Smith; two daughters and a son-in-law: Helen and Bobby Crews, and Josephine Malone; grandchildren: Chris Graham and wife, Kandy, Billie Jo Malone, Glenda Malone, Rhonda McAmis and husband, Mike, Misty Barkley and husband, David, Kim Lamb and husband, David; great grandchildren: Nathanial Aiken, Nikkie Reams, Danielle Fincher, Tyler Graham, Michael McAmis, Jamie McAmis, Tanner Collins, Meghan Lamb, Kaci Franklin; great great grandchildren: Candace Aiken, Chloe Reams, Joe Reams and Jarrion Isom; a daughter-in-law: Shirley Smith.
She was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Gass and was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Charlie Robert Smith; grandchildren, Roger Glen Smith, Brian Robert Smith, Donna Franklin, Vickie Mays, and Nancy Annette Smith; brothers, Luna, Jimmie, Thomas and Robert Gass; sisters, Jane Gass, Hattie Kathern Gass, Bessie Hendry, Pearl Babb
and Dorothy Smith.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Union Temple U M Church.
Rev. Richard Bowers and Rev. Gary Gass will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Montgomery, Junior Shackleford, Jimmy Strong, Gene Starnes, members of Union
Temple UM Church.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Even though I have not been down to see Aunt Chloe in many years, I have some great memories of coming to stay for a week at a time with Aunt Chloe & Uncle Charlie. My daughter Alex talks about Aunt Chloe all the time because she was the oldest person in our family. Our prayers go out to the whole family as we know how much she will be missed.

Chloe was such a sweet sweet lady. I always enjoyed her when she came in for her dr's appts. Her warm smile and all her sweet storys I have missed. Miss Chloe was a true blessing... My prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I know she will be missed by many .
