Plainfield - Indiana - Daniel C. (Chris) Roach passed on to his next life in heaven on Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 1, 1956 and would have been 67 years old at his next birthday. He was preceded by his wife Kathleen (Kathi) in 2015, with whom he was with for 28 years.

He was the son of Charlene Faye (Huffine) Roach & John Gilbert Roach - both deceased.

He is survived by his Daughter, Jessica Ann Roach (Seth Gilbert), his step-sons - Billy Joe Baber (Anita) & Christopher Scott Baber (Krista), 8 Grandchildren (Joseph Jack, Jayla Rae, Torrance Jean, Kadyn Christopher Scott, Jace Robert Daniel, Dax Christian Midd, Kaden Jaxson, Sebastian Alec) & 1 Great Grandson (Jaxon Ryder).

He is also survived by his seven brothers & sisters - C.J (Jackie), Angie Kinney (Bill), Dennis (Lynn), Greg (Janet), Ricky (Katrina), Natalie Gallagher (Kevin) & Lisa Merz (Scott). He is also survived by dozens of nieces & nephews.

He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1975. He was a long-time member of St. Susanna Catholic Church and attended St. Susanna School starting in 3rd grade through 8th grade. He was proud to have attained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle.

He spent his entire working life in the automotive business. As a true "motor head", he was both an accomplished mechanic and a body work specialist. He formed his own body shop with a partner on the west side of Indianapolis called K&C Body Shop. He worked as a mechanic for several auto dealerships and was an estimator & claims adjuster for a trucking company. He owned an assortment of muscle cars, including an Oldsmobile Toronado & his beloved Pontiac GTO.

He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone who asked, especially in regards to cars. He battled an assortment of medical issues over the last several years, but always kept a positive Christian attitude and normally had a smile on his face no matter how bad he felt.

A Celebration of Life & Funeral Mass will be held on November 10 at 11am. at St. Susanna Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Plainfield along-side his wife.
