Christian Woodward Sr. Obituary
Chris was born April 18, 1955 to Horace and Eugenia Woodward. He grew up alongside his four siblings Nancy, Niel, Patricia, and Karen. He graduated from Hanover Park High School in 1974. After graduating, he attended Lincoln Tech to study Mechanics. From there, Chris worked as a mechanic and machinist throughout his life.
A DIY guru and true Mr. Fix It, he could tinker and solve any issues that came up around the house. He also loved attending car shows and maintaining the family cars. Chris loved watching the birds in the backyard and always kept an eye out for the hummingbirds that came to visit. On cool summer nights, he could be found around a campfire in the backyard, burning wood he chopped and piled back by the shed. Throughout the years, Chris enjoyed many camping, canoeing, and hiking trips all around New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He always carried a bag to pick up trash and leave a place better than he found it. He was a wealth of knowledge about all sorts of mechanical processes, the natural world, and so much history.
He is survived by his wife Carol, his sons Adam and Christian Jr. (Jennifer), his siblings Niel (Valerie) and Karen, and all his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Chris's memory at the American Legion in Whippany (13 Legion Pl, Whippany, NJ 07981) on Saturday, July 19, from 1-4pm.

Dear Carol and Family,
My heart goes out to you all with shared sadness at the sudden passing of our Chris. He was so much like "Woody" and loved explaining the workings of the natural and industrial world, along with the frustrations of a true engineer.
I will always be grateful for his visit and support when our Mother passed. Even though we hadn't seen each other in many years, our bond was ageless. I so admired the bond he had with you all as well. He was blessed with a loving family. May you be blessed with comforting and joyful memories that keep you connected to his spirit.
