Christine Andersen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 2, 2015.
Christine "Chris" Andersen: Christine died peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born in Yonkers, New York on August 1, 1951 to Arthur M. Rohan and Anne (Larder) Rohan. Raised in Scarsdale, New York, she graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and from Merrimack College in Massachusetts.

Married for 38 years, she is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Raymond; and her beautiful, devoted children, son, Bryan and his wife, Tara; and her special twin daughters, Courtney and Megan. All three were the light of her heart. Also surviving are very close siblings, Thomas Rohan and Jeanne Rohan; various members of the Rohan and Kenny families in New York, especially Sister Bernadette Rohan; and other close family relatives, "Nana" Fran Raus and her family.

Chris was previously employed by Delta Airlines and has many loving and caring co-workers, friends and neighbors who were always supporting her. Chris will be sadly missed by all who knew her and touched by her presence. Her smile, laugh and love of life were her special gifts given to all whoever met Chris. Chris was an active volunteer in Education, Boys and Girls Scouting, and recently with Meals on Wheels. She loved gardening and most of all, to travel with family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, December 4, 2015, between 6:00 and 8:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Christine's life at 1:00PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 (904-737-7171).

"The sorrow is now, but her beauty remains."

Ray and Family, we extend our most sincere condolences to you all. We laughed and cried while looking at the pictures displayed on the web site, "remember, every picture tells a story don't it" (per Rod Stewart). Chris and family looked so happy and proud. I will dig up fond memories of Chris in all the photos I have of many era's of friendship and love that we will never forget and share them with you. Scott and Ellie
