Christine B. Daumer

CHRISTINE B. DAUMER (NEE KOZLOWSKI) CROWN POINT, IN Christine B. Daumer (nee Kozlowski), age 63, of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011. She was born on February 18, 1948 in Hammond to Casimir and Lucille Kozlowski. Christine is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael Daumer; daughter, Carol (Doug) Gutjahr of Crown Point; son, Robert Daumer of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren: Douglas and Ainsley Gutjahr; two nephews; niece; and many cousins. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: John and Michael Kozlowski. Christine was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, Class of 1966, and Aquinas College, Class of 1970. Prior to retirement, she was an elementary school teacher at Aquinas School in Merrillville. Christine was a leader of the Center Charmers and Farmers 4-H for over 25 years. She loved to tutor children, being with her grandkids, crocheting, knitting, and fishing with her family in northern Minnesota. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Drive, Crown Point on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin & Little Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church, 405 E. Joliet St., Crown Point with Rev. Pat Kalich officiating. Services will conclude at church with cremation to follow.
