Christine Helen Horne

Mrs. Christine Helen "Krys" Horne (née Kaczynski), age 77, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Imlay City, Michigan.

Born on October 3, 1947, in Giessen, Germany, Christine was the daughter of Peter and Freidel Kaczynski. She later moved to the United States, where she built a life centered around love for her family and the joy of togetherness. Christine was a devoted wife to her late husband, Woodrow Horne, and their life together was marked by deep commitment and shared memories.

Christine's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Anne Marie Minetti; her sons, James Zimmerman, Michael (Jill) Horne, and Scott (Katherine) Horne. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Ryan (Amanda) Horne, Madison (Matthew) Bader, Evan Horne, Justen Minetti, Jayden Minetti, Michaela Horne and Michael Horne. She also leaves behind two beloved great-grandchildren, Carson and Connor Horne. She is also survived by her brother Richard Kaczynski.

Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Woodrow Horne; her father, Peter Kaczynski; her mother, Freidel Kaczynski; her stepmother Henrietta Kaczynski; and her sister Diane Bronson.

Christine had a special gift for bringing people together. Whether it was a holiday meal or a casual afternoon visit, she found joy in gathering with family and friends. Her warmth filled every room she entered and left lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to know her.

A funeral service honoring Christine's life will be held on June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Resurrection Cemetery 18201 Clinton River Road. Service in Chapel.
