Christine Mirrione Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2023.
Christine Mirrione, 72, of Coconut Creek, FL, passed away on Monday, April 10th, 2023.

Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 10, 1950, to Carl and Rose Mirrione.

Always the life of the party, Christine loved to host and could make any situation into a celebration. Her loud and bright personality, unmistakable cackle, and natural charm commanded the room and drew everyone to her. She was a people's person, and could make anyone feel like they were like family. She loved entertainment as theatrical as it could be; Game of Thrones, Stars Wars, and old movies were her favorite. Every Sunday she could be found with the football game on and a dirty martini in hand.

Christine had taste, whether it was decorating the house, arranging a garden, or going out, it was always in style. No matter the occasion, she was dressed to the 9's.

Christine is survived by her daughter Sabrina of Delray Beach; her sister Carol and husband Mike of Boynton Beach: her sister Arlene of Spring Hill; her niece Angela, husband Tommy, nephew Joseph, wife Christine, great niece Alexa, and great nephews Vincent, Anthony, Joseph and Nicholas of Long Island, NY; her nephew Daniel, wife Sara, great niece Kaylin and great nephew Camden of South Carolina; and her nephew David and wife Chalese of Altamonte Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose & Carl whom she will be buried with in Queens, NY, on May 1, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm with a 4:00pm Scripture Service at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, Delray Beach, FL.  Funeral Mass and Burial will take place in Flushing, NY.

Since I've know Christine, she's always gone above & beyond on Christmas celebrations. Everything was decorated beautifully, table set with her fine china, & ONLY cloth napkins allowed! She enjoyed cooking for this occasion making her famous anchovie sauce with pasta or stuffed mushrooms, it was her tradition. After dinner she loved playing games with us. She has given me many beautiful memories to laugh & smile about. I will miss her dearly.

At the Renaissance festival in Deerfield at Quiet Waters park March 2023. Christine knew how much I loved this place & decided to join in on the fun with me & Sabrina. She was such a delight. Sadly this was our last excursion on many years of fun.

We were in the plane, & she couldn't resist that cute little baby.

Christine, you are one of the most memorable people I have ever met. You could light up a room when you walked in with your extra Dirty martini ❤ or you could show everyone you meant business so easily. I will forever miss you presence. Thank you for taking me into your family and loving me, my aunt and my daughter unconditionally. I love you forever ❤

NEVER in my life have I ever met someone with such a great big, caring heart like Christine's. She was Always loving, always positive, always standing up for those she loved, & certainly let you know where you stood with her. When things would get rough with my family or poor choices in relationships, She stood by my side whether it was right or wrong when no one else would. She is & was a rare breed. She opened up her home to me anytime I needed. We had so MANY FUN sleepovers watching shows, playing games, cooking, laughing hysterically, & even just sitting enjoying each others company. She always gave a helping hand to me & many others if needed. Christine has literally rescued me numerous times. She was my savior. I keep a very tiny group of people I can truly call friends. Christine was more than that to me. She is & was Family to me. There are very few that even compare her stature to many great abilities in this lifetime of mine. Love always & forever, Tamara xox
