Christine Pannekoek Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 22 to Feb. 24, 2010.
PANNEKOEK , Christine It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Pannekoek after a courageous battle with cancer at the Athabasca Hospital February 14, 2010. She is survived by her two sons Andrew and Mark both of Vancouver, her husband Frits in Athabasca, her brother Martin Gostelow (Pitt Meadows, B.C.), her sister Vivian Harmon (Cloverdale, B.C.) and her mother, Maureen Gostelow (Vancouver). A celebration of Christine's life will be held in Athabasca March 20, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Athabasca United Church. Christine was a passionate lover of music and believed it had an important place in everyone's life. In lieu of flowers, Christine would applaud a donation to Athabasca University or to an institution of choice in support of students studying music.

Dear Fritz and family,

We are so very glad that we had the oppportunity to visit with Christine. However, knowing that this end was inevitable does not make this at all easier to bear. May your heart soon be at ease as you recall how happy Christine was with her life. She was so content and at peace during our last visit. May all your memories bring you comfort and the love of family and friends bring you comfort at this time.
Hugs,

Pat Eagar
