Christine Perkins Obituary

ASHTABULA — Christine Lynn Perkins, age 55, of W. 38th St., died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Country Club Retirement Center, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 26, 1954, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Michael and Eloise Mae (Harrington) Zalimeni and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A 1973 graduate of Harbor High School and the ACJVS Hotel Management Program, she married her husband, Gerald Perkins, on Dec. 17, 1976 and had celebrated 34 years of marriage.
A member of First Community Church of God, she loved reading her Bible. A person of many talents, she enjoyed painting by numbers, writing in her journal and crafts. She also enjoyed long walks and gardening, especially in her flower beds. Country, rock and romance music were always a part of her life and she will be dearly missed by her family and her pet cats, "Buddy and Precious".
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughters, Angela (Wade) Lewis and Aimee (Gary) Sarell of Akron; six grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Erika, Dylan, Joni, and Wade; siblings, Dolores M. (Ward) Buck of Madison, Florence (Charles "Skip") Bruno of Riverside, Calif. and Donna (Donald) DiAngelo and Michael (Susan) Zalimeni, both of Saybrook.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David James Zalimeni; and her parents.
A Service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Feb., 15th, in the Chapel at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, with Pastor Hal Morgan, Pastor of First Community Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Contributions may be made to the family, c/o DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES, who is handling the arrangements.
