I have a multitude of memories that I shall never forget for I knew Chris for over forty years. We shared many occasions teaching at the Locke Middle School. She was a gifted fabric seamstress who displayed her talents in the school setting. No one could forget her quilted Christmas tree skirts, placemats, October decorations, and ornaments. She provided her talents to her students with her incessant encouragement and expertise. We shared many school moments and visits in her new home. She was especially proud of her home and her gardens. I will greatly miss our friendship for I have lost a special sincere friend.I love you,Chris.

I remember the bright shining girl who played with us summers in Maine. Our families were extremely close and we loved each other. Deepest sympathy to the Ellie and the rest of the Pitt family. RIP Chrissie.

As a now retired local builder and neighbor, Chris hired me to work on her beautiful home. We became good friends. I often dropped in to see her and do odd jobs. As a gift she gave me a Christmas tree skirt which sits under our tree today. Rest in peace Chris.

Chris was a beautiful, witty and smart lady. She shared her talents and left lifelong impressions on so many lucky students. I am so relieved that she is no longer in pain, but I will miss her presence and our (often funny) visits and calls.
