Christine Hollyfield Reagan, 86, of Lubbock, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011, in Lubbock.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at First Baptist Church with Rev. John Ballard officiating. Private graveside services are at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday from 6pm to 7:30pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Christine was born on March 18, 1925, to the late Harry and Lula Catherine (Jackson) Hollyfield in Lubbock County. As a child Christine grew up in Shallowater where her parents owned the Shallowater Hotel. She moved to Lubbock with her family in the early 1930's and graduated from Lubbock High School. She married John J. Reagan in 1955. They were married for 17 years before his passing in 1972. Christine was Assistant Chief of Staffing for Civilian Personnel at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock for 32 years, before retiring from Civil Service in 1983. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had been a member at First Baptist Church for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Nola Mary "Holly" Kirby on October 7, 2003, and a brother, Herman Hollyfield.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Brandt Reagan and his wife Laura of Lubbock; four grandchildren: Travis Reagan of Fort Worth, Erin Reagan of Lubbock, Tyler Reagan of Canyon, and Lauren Reagan of College Station; and a nephew, Rex Kirby of Dallas.
