When I think of Christine,it's in how the children were drawn to her calm presence, her patience. She always had their best interest foremost in her mind. Yet, hidden behind that calm exterior, there was always her underlying sense of humour, a dry chuckle bubbling underneath. When she did let loose with a full belly laugh, you couldn't help but join in.
Christine was always willing to help; to teach; to listen; to defend; to discuss; to support. She could listen to the problem, hear the frustration, and then present a completely different view that hadn't been considered, one that put a totally different light on the situation.
We often spoke about getting together outside of work; she, to teach me about stained glass; me, to teach her quilting.Or, going to rural garden centre's to try to find "Heritage" plants and vegetable seeds for her garden.
Christine was straightforward and steadfast, strong, gentle and enormously empathetic with her students, aware of the challenges that they face on a daily basis. She was supportive and patient, always willing to share her expertise, to teach or to listen. One of my favourite memories is the expression on her face and her laughter as she saw me coming with a tale of a mischievous student. I shall miss her calming presence, her friendship, but most of all, I shall miss her infectious laughter.
Christine, we love and miss you...God bless and keep you.

I had the pleasure of working with and knowing Christine just over a year. Such a gentle and loving lady will be missed here.

I did not know Christine personally, but know someone whose life she touched. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Christine's living example of daily living according to the will of Jesus, whom she loved so very much, is a memory I will hold always and a model I will strive to emmulate. We have lost a wise and good woman but she now has her reward in heaven.
