Christopher Bishop Obituary

Chris passed with a smile on his face.

He is survived by the loves of his life, Victoria and Miss Kitty of Sykesville City.

Also his family; parents Norvall and Jackie Bishop of Catonsville, Maryland.

Chris was the oldest of six children; his favorite sister Beth (Joe), Johanna (Mr. Bear), April (predeceased), Emily (Phil), and brother Joe (Nikki). Joe is now claiming title of #1 son.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews, including his favorite niece/godchild Rosa Snouffer Shad, Jake Snouffer, Kyle Ennis, Jacob Bishop, and Rebekah and John Jones. Also grand nieces/nephews. Chris always enjoyed talking with them and hearing about what was going on in their lives.

Growing up, Chris had many friends. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 752, where he learned many life lessons and survival skills. And Chris was a survivor, he was a warrior. He received a double organ transplant in 2003 and had just celebrated the 20-year anniversary of that transplant.

Chris touched many lives during his time with us. Especially when he punched his sister Beth in the nose. He loved fast cars and had an excellent work ethic as a mechanic, then engineer at CCBC in Catonsville for over 20 years.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 15 at the Bishop residence in Catonsville from 1 to 3 p.m.

We will enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread.

He is dearly missed. What a guy....

Catch you on the flip side, brother.

Bishop residence is 216 S. Paradise Avenue, Catonsville MD.

A time I had great fun with Chris was when we drove cross country and he was helping me move to California. We saw so much driving across I-40 and had a lot of fun stops. I remember one motel where we got into the room and I started my inspection, saying, "Sheets look clean, bathroom clean, body in the tub..." and he had a shocked look on his face till reality set in and he laughed.

My first memory of Chris was him shoving me on the trundle bed under the bottom bunk of the bunk beds on Evesham Ave. when we were playing hide and seek.

Every joke he told was cornier than the one before it. He always made me laugh and was a wonderful friend. I will always cherish the times I shared with the Bishop family. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I learned to hand him the "right tool" when his car broke down.

Chris was the best big brother a kid sister could hope for. He always came to my rescue when needed and provided words of wisdom throughout my life. I miss him dearly. Love you, Chris. See you on the flipside.

Not my first memory but hitting him in the forehead with a stone. He dared me.

He was my Irish Twin. He was born in January, I was born in December. We were good friends as kids, playing in the dirt, playing SPUD, Red Rover, and riding bikes. I miss him dearly.
