Christopher David Clark, age 47, of Belcamp, MD passed away on July 7, 2012 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of Carlton Leon Clark of Baltimore, MD and Joan Clark Weston of Brooklyn, NY and Stepmother Linda Day Clark. He was an Independent Game Design and Development Consultant at Gamestorm LLC. Christopher designed and deployed Gaming, Simulation, and Training solutions for private and public applications including the Center for Homeland Security and Defense, Special Operations Command, Naval Postgraduate School, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony. He worked as a video game expert for numerous institutions, such as Sandia National Laboratories, Institute for Defense Analysis, Justice Department, Marine Corps, Air Force, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Texas Austin. He also taught and mentored as a University of Baltimore Adjunct Professor and a Naval Postgraduate School Faculty Member. Christopher authored the Principles of Game Based Learning and Dynamic Adaptability in Instructional Simulations models and was recognized with a Naval Commendation and the Simulation Innovation and Design Award for lifetime achievement in game design. Christopher enjoyed longboard skateboarding and 'hung out' with Tony Hawk in his youth. He was an amazing Salsa dancer and instructor, talented poet and singer. Mr. Clark lived with Parkinson's disease for 11 years and was a National Parkinson's Foundation "Superstar." He and his wife, Karen, founded a paintball team, "Tremor," to help raise awareness and support research for Parkinson's. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 7 years, Karen Michelle Hamilton Clark of Belcamp, MD; son, Preston Monroe Hamilton Clark; daughter, Olivia Madelynn Hamilton Clark; brothers, Russell Clark of Woodstock, MD, Carl Clark of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Clark of Fort Bragg, NC, Dr. Kelton Clark of Annapolis, MD, and Jameel Day of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Lara Clark of Woodstock, MD and Minola Manson of San Diego, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
