Christopher Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 22, 2022.
Christopher Cody Davis, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, returned to his heavenly father unexpectedly on November 11th 2022 at the age of 36. Chris was born in Fort Worth, TX on October 2nd, 1986. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 2005, and he attended OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma for environmental safety. He worked as a successful claims inspector and professional contractor, recently using those skills to help his brother and sister-in-law with repairs to their home.

Though these are accomplishments to be proud of, one of the true hallmarks of a life well lived can be seen in the everyday moments and love shared with those around them. Chris's caring personality and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came in contact with. He spent many years as the caretaker for his grandmother, Sandra (Nenaw), until her passing. He had a close relationship with his mother, Lezlie, and they shared many late nights talking about life and love together. They also spent time gardening, planting something at each home he lived in. Chris was a wonderful brother and made sure he spent quality time with his siblings. He spent holidays at his sister Carly's house, where he would dress in matching pajamas with his nephews, and he attended concerts with his sister, Mamie. He spent many evenings watching silly weekly TV dramas with his sister-in-law, took his nieces to the zoo, and always showed up with his tools anytime his brother asked him for help at his home. He loved a good discussion about American history (one of his favorite subjects), had a deep affinity for anything associated with the Old West, and he enjoyed watching Westerns with his brother. He gave big hugs, had a deep laugh, and was always ready for a grand adventure. He had an interest in prospecting and enjoyed stories about treasure hunting. Chris was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time camping and hunting. His love for the outdoors and hunting were only surpassed by the love he gave his family. These are the moments of a life full of love. He will be missed more than any words could express, but he will be forever in our hearts till we meet again.

Chris left behind, to treasure his memories, his mother, Lezlie Davis; his sister, Mamie Towns; his sister, Carly Sayer, and her husband, Dustin Sayer; his nephews, Brayden, Kyler, Camden and Cole; his brother, Cass Towns; his sister-in-law, Audrey Towns; his nieces, Winter, Rowan, and Willow; his sister, Cari Sparks; his aunts and uncles, Susan and Neil Davis, David and Jeannie Robinson, Skylar and John Merrifield, and Lori Magner; his dear friend, Ronny Davis (Uncle Ronny); numerous cousins, and many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Kay Magner (Nenaw); his grandfather, Jerry Magner; his mother, Denise Magner; and his cousin, Burgess Merrifield.

Chris's life will be celebrated with a service scheduled for Tuesday, November 29th, 12 pm, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, Texas, 76107. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Sportsmen's Club of Fort Worth, a program dedicated to outdoor educational and charitable activities for underprivileged youth, at sportsmensclub.org.
