Christopher David Edgett

Christopher David "Chris" Edgett, 63, of Jeffersonville, PA passed away on July 16, 2024 after an illness.

Chris was born on March 7, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a 1979 graduate of North Penn High School. A long time automotive mechanic, Chris had a wide range of mechanical knowledge and experience. He worked in Lansdale and Green Lane for two independent repair shops before opening his own shop in Pennsburg. He also worked as a heavy equipment tech in Hatfield. More recently, he was employed as an equipment repair tech at Sunbelt Rentals in Blue Bell.

In addition to fixing cars and assorted equipment, Chris loved to fix dinner! He was an avid cook who enjoyed watching cooking shows and experimenting with different styles of food. He was an excellent baker and was in charge of the all-important dessert table at extended family holiday meals. Chris also loved traveling to Key West, FL and South Carolina with Wendy, and collecting all kinds of gadgets and tools wherever he went.

As an organ donor through the Gift of Life Donor Program, Chris's last act was to offer a chance of life to someone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth William Edgett, Jr. and Annie Laurie Edgett, née McDonald. He is survived by his daughter Amy Edgett of Macungie, his son Isaac Edgett (Alyssa) of Boyertown, his longtime partner Wendy Miller of Jeffersonville, sister Susan Gilman (Doug) of Carlsbad, CA, brothers Bill Edgett of Reseda, CA, Dr. Bryan Edgett (Kathy) of Cape Coral, FL, Mike Edgett (Amy) of Telford, PA, and sister Janet Ross (John) of Telford, PA, as well as nieces and nephews Ken Knight, Kat Strom (Rick), Drake Edgett, Bethany McGuigan (Mike), Brandon Edgett (Melissa), Nick Edgett (Emily), El Ross, and great-nephew and nieces Ricky, Gianna, and Riley.

A celebration of life will be held from 3:30-7:30 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Deep Creek Stone Lodge in Green Lane Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Kidney Fund in Chris's memory.
