Christopher Haynes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 30, 2023.
Christopher Charles Haynes, aged 35, passed away on May 1, 2023, in southern California. He was born on March 31, 1988, in Raleigh, NC, to Richard Kent Haynes and Emily Kinney Haynes. Chris was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend.

He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Ava Emily Haynes of Clemmons, NC, as well as his parents, Richard Kent Haynes and Emily Kinney Haynes of Clemmons, NC, his brother, Matthew Kent Haynes of Holly Springs, NC, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard Charles Haynes (Papaw) and Geraldine Ratledge Haynes (Meemaw), and his maternal grandparents, Charles Lee Kinney (Peepaw), Judith Lane Patton (Nana), and F. Jearline Kinney (Gigi).

Growing up in Clemmons, NC, Chris was an active youth who enjoyed riding dirt bikes, boating, fishing, and water skiing, and played many sports. He attended West Forsyth High School and Forsyth Tech before moving to Wilmington, NC, to continue his education. Later, he moved to southern California to pursue his dreams, where he enjoyed surfing, skateboarding, and the beautiful weather. Chris had a passionate and giving spirit and a heart for those who were suffering or in need. He was a very outgoing and sociable young man, with many friends on the west and east coast to whom he remained loyal. He loved his family and friends, but his precious daughter, Ava, held the most special place in his heart. Chris had recently made plans to move back to NC to be near her and his family. He loved his little dog, Sadie, who always brought a smile to his face. Christopher's family and friends will cherish all the good memories they have of him. He will truly be missed, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. His final selfless act of love for others was to give life through being an organ donor to five people across the country.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., at Hillsdale Church, 5018 US-158 in Advance, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Let us gather together to honor and remember this beloved son, brother, father, and friend.

Rest in peace, Christopher. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Chris, you are dearly missed, here is some pictures that I love of you and Ava, and then all three of us. I love and miss you. You always had a smile on your face and your goofy laugh. We had our own language and things we would say. I held your hand for hours, and was at the hospital nearly every day. You always knew what to do, and could put a plan together in seconds. And you were my calculator, you were so good at math. I just wish I could physically talk to you for 30 seconds , but I talk to you throughout my day and it gives me some peace. Ava is just like you in every way. We all love and miss you, very much! Until we meet again
