Mr Christopher David Hightower

CHRISTOPHER DAVID HIGHTOWER Christopher David Hightower, 26, of Midway, West Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Born June 17, 1982, in Beckley; he was the son of David and Melinda Proffitt Hightower. Chris graduated from Independence High School, Coal City, West Virginia in 2001. He was employed by Mining Controls until 2007. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. Chris was a special person who was a blessing and loved by all who knew him. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William �Bill� Hightower and maternal grandfather, John Proffitt both formerly of Midway. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, David and Melinda Hightower; a sister and best friend, Katie Hightower all of Midway; paternal grandmother, Franny Hightower; maternal grandmother, Eula Proffitt both of Midway; three uncles, Alan and Melinda Proffitt, Bruce and Karen Hightower, and Phillip and Linda Hightower all of Midway; two aunts, Polly and Mike Isom of MacArthur, Donna Hightower of North Carolina; twenty-four cousins, and numerous relatives of a large extended family. Services will be 1:00PM Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Sophia with Pastor Mark Hatfield and Pastor Sonny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00Am until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
