Christopher Landry Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2023.
Christopher Lee Landry, aged 45, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2023, in Lynn, MA. He was born on April 8, 1978, in Boston, MA. Christopher will be fondly remembered as a father, son, brother, and friend.

Christopher possessed a multifaceted personality characterized by his keen intellect, sense of humor and mastery of words. He had a remarkable wit and a unique way with words and crafting phrases that left a lasting impression on those around him. One of our favorites was a catchphrase he used often when he finished a big meal and was ready to rest. He would let us know that it was "about half past Nap:30." This always brought a smile to our faces. Furthermore, Christopher found solace in writing, expressing the depths of his soul through his words. His unwavering faith in the Catholic Church provided him with comfort, and during challenging times, he often turned to the Bible for strength and guidance. He knew those passages and verses by heart. He was affectionately known by those closest to him as the preacher.

He had an innate talent for humor, always ready with a joke or an entertaining story. Christopher's storytelling abilities were unparalleled, captivating his audience with anecdotes that were as imaginative as they were engaging.

Beyond his outward toughness and confidence, he was profoundly sensitive. Christopher had a deep love for his family and friends, always striving to do right by them, even when he could not. He had a broken spirit that kept getting him lost along the way. At his core, he was a little boy, and big softie, who was yearning to be loved, needed, and accepted.

Christopher will be forever remembered by his children: Christian Pizziferri of Woburn, MA, and Nathan Landry of Canada, whom he had enormous pride in, considering them his greatest gift. He is also survived by his father, Dean Landry, Sr. of Boston, MA, his stepfather, Lloyd Hebert, and his fiancée Laura Pedro of Everett. He leaves behind his brothers: Dean Landry, Jr. of Boston, MA, John Hughes, Jr. of Peabody, MA, and Jayson Hebert of Hyannis, MA. He also leaves his sisters Jennifer and her husband Michael Waters of Salem, MA, Michelle Hebert and her partner Jesse Pothier, and Lisa Hebert and her fiancé Michael Whalley, all of Everett, MA, as well as his beloved goddaughter and niece, Alexia Nunez of Everett, MA, and will be missed dearly by numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Christopher's cherished mother, Dorothy (Glynn) Hebert of Everett, MA, preceded him in death.

Christopher's educational journey led him to Everett High School, where he laid the foundation for a future filled with diverse experiences. He ventured into various professions throughout his life, showcasing his adaptability. A true jack of all trades. Christopher found satisfaction in being a mover, proudly displaying his well-earned muscles while thinking nothing of strapping an appliance to his back to carry it up a flight of stairs. He also worked as a pool installer, maintaining those muscles and a sun-kissed complexion. Chris also received his barbering certificate. He was so proud of himself for that, and loved making others look good. Nonetheless, his most fulfilling role was behind the line cooking. The kitchen was his sanctuary, allowing him to showcase his creativity and culinary expertise. That is where his heart, and passion, truly was.

Outside of work, Christopher indulged in his passions for cooking, writing, and rapping. He was also an unwavering fan of Boston sports, particularly the Boston Celtics, cheering for them passionately.

A visitation to honor and reflect upon Christopher's life will be held on September 27, 2023, from 10 am to noon at Boston Cremation, located at 287 Main Street, Malden, MA. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in the week.

We kindly request that flowers not be sent. Instead, donations in Christopher's memory can be made to the following for causes close to his heart.
Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers, SAFEProject, or Shatterproof.

In our hearts, Christopher will forever remain a luminous presence. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

My heart goes out to his family. Chris always made you laugh with his sayings or expressions. I still am in shock. His personality was larger than life and there is nothing Chris wouldn´t have done to help his friends. He always missed his mother so much. Damn, Chris. We´re gonna miss you.
