Chris passed away at the age of 70. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stella, his son, Patrick, brother Anthony, and his two grandchildren, Ethan and Isabelle. Chris was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong, attended Wah Yan College, and then St. Benedict's College in Kansas. After completing his MBA, he started work in San Francisco in the Asia Division of Bank of America's headquarters. This soon led to overseas positions in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Taipei.

His extensive travels working at the First National Bank of Chicago/JP Morgan worldwide gave him an invaluable insight into the problems and poverty in especially Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. This experience was a perfect match for his lifelong desire to assist and help the unfortunate and downtrodden. His latest volunteer work after his early retirement from corporate banking was to assist the seminarian Catholic priests in completing their thesis and to teach English to troubled, delinquent and handicapped high school students in Macau.

Chris was never defined by his work. He was above all a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He always had time for his family and will always be remembered as the one that "took care of others." He played an important part in caring for his 105 year old aunt, his mother, and his in-laws. His grandchildren will remember him from the stories and songs that he sang to them every night. Stella and Patrick will remember him for always being there for them, no matter what the circumstance. Just as important, was his role as a teacher and example for Patrick and his cousins. To this day, the family fondly regales in the stories of "Chris Uncle" every time they congregate. He took his role as a role model very seriously, but with love. He always made sure that not only everything was done, but done "right." Behind his gruff exterior was a heart that was big enough for all those around him.

Chris was an incredibly generous and kind-hearted man whose sole purpose was to be helpful to all those around him. He was a real beacon to direct, show by example, and encourage others to do good. Though always unassuming, polite and modest to unprecedented levels, he was one of the most knowledgeable, interesting, delightful and always helpful friend to all he touched. Despite having been in leadership positions in his career, he showed no signs of arrogance, never sought praise, and made sure those working for him always received all the recognition. He was simply respected and loved by all those around him. He gladly sacrificed his personal needs and joys for the good of others.

To sum up his contributions to society, he exemplified the desire and necessity to do all that is embodied in "goodness," and to encourage those around him to do the same. His Faith in God allowed him to always do good in his own silent unassuming style, and his confidence that God is all-knowing is what ensures Chris his everlasting reward and peace. He is greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends across several continents.
